Those are all interpretations! Those statements are just judgments about an activity that you might not even be that familiar with. 

Those worries are predictions about how you expect you'll feel after practicing mindfulness. They're the result of your mind attempting to make sense of something new.

The Power of Mindfulness Meditation

Living mindfully allowed me to stop comparing myself to people on Facebook and Instagram... and all of the other real-life people. Mindfulness helped me let go of my anxious tendencies, and in place of them I learned to practice self-love and compassion in the best and the worst of situations. 

I went from an overly stressed, obsessive second-guesser who was strapped for time and tired of hearing about everyone else's meditation success stories... 


Accepting my thoughts and understanding the deep connection between my emotions and my mind, redefining stress and using it as a gift, and letting go of the expectations and assessments of other people.


I really started LIVING!

Mindfulness meditation brought these things into my life, and now I want to help bring them to yours! I know how powerful and impactful this practice can be. I know it because I've lived it firsthand. 

I used to be a college writing & critical thinking instructor who was miserable, constantly nervous, and filled with anxiety. I desperately wanted to leave the field of work I'd invested years of education and thousands of dollars in.

I was terrified of making the wrong decisions, worried about disappointing others, and completely emotionally paralyzed. So instead of taking a leap of faith, I'd walk into a job I knew I wanted to leave with a sinking feeling in my stomach and a pounding headache. 

And although at one point although I'd been meditating (inconsistently) for years... "real life" always seemed to make peace impossible to access. 

But when I committed to a mindfulness practice... meditation truly became a LIFESTYLE. I was able to find peace in every situation. 

I learned to build a lifestyle where anxiety was unnecessary, the wrong decision no longer existed, and I actually began to live in peace more than chaos. 

Mindfulness changed my life... not just because it's a magical, mystical practice, and not just because I learned to do it the "right" way. 

It changed my life because it helped me see the world clearly. It helped me understand myself and my mind. It helped me make decisions I never would have been comfortable making (like finally leaving teaching and deciding to blog and teach online full time). It helped me stay sane during my first year of entrepreneurship. It helped me become who I always knew I was internally.

We will explore what mindfulness means in all of its interpretations, and then decide what mindfulness meditation means for us - for the purposes of this course. We'll then use that definition to guide our journey forward - helping us to identify what to expect over the next 6 weeks. We'll also cover what some of the common benefits of mindfulness meditation are, how long we have to wait until we experience the benefits, and what a mindful lifestyle might look and feel like. 



See, mindfulness is all about awareness... and once we can fully understand what awareness is, how to value and prioritize awareness, and how to use it to cultivate a deeper understanding of the present moment (and consequently, our thoughts about that moment) things really start to change. We'll uncover the significance of being present and the importance of living on purpose. That will be our work in this module.

We'll learn what it means to think about the way we think, and how this process helps us when living mindfully. We'll explore what a thought is, our thoughts in relation to our emotions, and the actions we often take in response to our emotions. We'll get practice in paying attention to the things we typically dismiss or ignore, and discuss how these new areas of focus change or solidify the way we understand ourselves and the world around us.

We'll explore what stress is and where it comes from, how we tend to understand and deal with stress, and how mindfulness can help us begin to embrace and even benefit from stress.

Although mindfulness meditation is a peace-inducing practice, sometimes, especially when we're just beginning our practice, we can find it frustrating, it can seem like it doesn't work, and we might feel like living mindfully is the absolute last thing we want to do... In this module we'll talk about how to deal with challenges in our practice, we'll work with our problematic mindsets, and work on learning to let go of our limitations and self-sabotaging beliefs so that we can truly observe the thoughts as they come. We'll talk about why letting go actually means taking action, and we'll explore how a mindful mindset can help us eliminate many of our destructive habits, if we're willing. 



In the last module we'll talk about how to bring what you've learned in this course with you into the rest of your life. We'll create habits for observing and creating tiny moments of bliss, we'll explore mindfulness tips for making a great day even better, and we'll build a daily mindfulness routine tailored to your specific needs - ultimately leaving you with a blueprint for your customized mindful lifestyle - more than just a sitting meditation - something you can do anytime, anyplace, for as long or as little as you need.

Who am I?

My name is Djinji Jimenez and I am the creator of (previously The Truth Practice) and the teacher of this course! I'm a self-care and mindfulness mentor and writer who is dedicated to helping women learn how to bring the wonder and joy to the forefront of their lives. I'm SO passionate about this work because there was a time in my life when I didn't believe living with daily wonder and joy were possible. 

4 years ago, I'd just completed an MFA program in Writing and had dedicated 6 years of my life to the craft of language, storytelling, and teaching. I'd done everything everyone wanted me to do. Gone to college, gone to graduate school, pursued an upstanding career... I'd checked the boxes and yet I found myself completely unhappy. 

As I pushed through my post-MFA job day after day, my body and soul found ways to let me know just how far away from my path I'd ended up. Panic attacks. Pain. Asthma. Memory issues. Deep sadness. Lack of focus. Worry. Exhaustion...

I felt like I had nothing to show for all of my hard work... except for frustration and road blocks. I had no idea how to figure out what I wanted for myself and no clue what path I should take to find any new options. I wasn't sure any new options existed. 

But when I learned to quiet my mind, when I learned to look within, when I learned to live life in awareness, when I learned to truly practice self-love, when I studied and embraced mindfulness as a way of life...

It all changed. 

I let go. I followed my intuition. I woke up appreciating every breath. And I figured out how to let myself off the hook. No more autopilot. Mo more settling. No more arguing for my limitations. No more pursuit of perfection. Just me. Just living. 

Does this experience mean that I never experience struggle or frustration anymore? No! I'm still human. This process of discovery and mindfulness doesn't end... I encounter new situations that require me to practice awareness and challenge my ability to remain centered all the time. I'm always paying attention to life and the signs that pop up. But this process doesn't plague me anymore. It fuels me. I love it. And I gain so much passion, so much energy, so much freedom from being able to observe it without getting wrapped up in misery or overwhelm. 

I've learned that nothing is ever wasted. I've learned that every moment brings an opportunity for meditation... for peace.

Do you offer any refunds or guarantees?

Yes! Due to the digital nature of this course, each refund will be handled on a case by case basis within 7 days. 

How quickly will I get results?

Mindfulness is a deeply personal journey, so your results will depend largely on how open you are when you begin the course, how committed you are to your practice, and your own personal inclinations toward self-love and compassion. There is no magic formula with mindfulness, but studies have shown that within 6-8 weeks mindfulness meditators have shown/felt may differences in their minds, bodies, and lives. By the end of our 6 weeks together, you will have a greater understanding of mindfulness as a practice and your relationship to it and your thoughts. 

Will I need to purchase anything else once I buy the course?

No! Although you can get the cushions, the bells, and the lotions that claim to help you practice mindfulness… they aren’t necessary for this course. All you need to bring is an open mind! 

How will I receive the course content?

The content will be delivered in 6 modules designed to help you learn more about the theme of that week, which will lead you into the daily mini guided meditation for that week. Each day there will be an opportunity for reflection with designated exploration questions in your workbook.

What is mindfulness?
