I went from an overly stressed, obsessive second-guesser who was strapped for time and tired of hearing about everyone else's success stories...
Knowing exactly how to cope and take care of myself on "tough" days and loving myself even though I'm far from perfect. Living a life of mindfulness and self-care allowed me to stop stressing over the things I had to let go of and it taught me to stop feeling guilty about putting myself first.
The steps and strategies I teach in this group coaching program are the exact lessons I used to stop settling for less than I deserve, and it helped me pursue my purpose in life with courage and tenacity.

I used to be a college writing & critical thinking instructor who was miserable, constantly nervous, and filled with anxiety. I desperately wanted to leave the field of work I'd invested years of education and tens of thousands of dollars in.
At that point in my life, I was terrified of making the wrong decisions, worried about disappointing others, and completely emotionally paralyzed. So instead of taking a leap of faith, everyday I walked into a job I knew I wanted to leave with a sinking feeling in my stomach and a pounding headache. I settled for less than I wanted because I didn't believe I was worthy or pursuing my dreams. I thought I should just be grateful for how far I'd gotten and accept that everyone hates their job at least a little - so who was I to want anything different?
Mastering mindfulness and self-love taught me that being crippled by anxiety and self-doubt was unnecessary, the wrong decision no longer existed, and because of that I actually began to live in peace more than chaos.
And because I committed to doing the work to change my beliefs, to shift my focus, to be more present in my life, and to love myself enough to stop settling for less than I deserve... to finally understand that I was worthy of taking up space in this world in a way that brought me energy and joy... I was able to envision a brand new career for myself and find the courage and clarity to leave the job that was no longer in alignment with who I'd become.
Mindfulness changed my life... not just because it's a magical, mystical practice, and not just because I learned to do it the "right" way.
It changed my life because it helped me surrender to the flow of my life.
It helped me love myself and my mind.
It helped me make decisions I never would have been comfortable making.
It helped me stay sane during my first year of entrepreneurship.

We will explore what mindfulness means in all of its interpretations, and then decide what mindfulness meditation means for us - for the purposes of this course. We'll then use that definition to guide our journey forward - helping us to identify what to expect over the next 6 weeks. We'll also cover what some of the common benefits of mindfulness meditation are, how long we have to wait until we experience the benefits, and what a mindful lifestyle might look and feel like.
1. Paying attention to the good shit.
See, mindfulness is all about awareness... and once we can fully understand what awareness is, how to value and prioritize awareness, and how to use it to cultivate a deeper understanding of the present moment (and our thoughts about that moment) we can stop ourselves from interpreting our life in harmful ways! We'll uncover the significance of being present and the best strategies for living on purpose.
2.You put the Mind in Mindfulness
We'll learn what it means to think about the way we think, and how this process helps us when living mindfully. We'll explore what a thought is, our thoughts in relation to our emotions, and the actions we often take in response to our emotions. We'll learn the power of paying attention to the things we typically dismiss or ignore, and discuss how these new areas of focus improve the way we understand ourselves and the world around us.
3.Stress free is the way to be! no, seriously.
It's time to redefine our stress! If you think it's impossible, think again. Mindfulness gives us the opportunity to stop our spiral of negativity before it becomes too large for us to handle... We'll explore what we're really saying when we decide we feel stressed out. And we'll bust through the problematic ways we tend to deal with stress. You'll be able to embrace and even benefit from stress.
4.Love yo'self... because if you want it done right, you do it yourself!
We'll bust open the common misconceptions about the self-love movement and explore how mindfulness can help us take self-love from a cheesy fad to a cornerstone of our lives. We'll use mindfulness to accept ourselves and care for ourselves even when other people don't, and we'll learn how to withstand failure and disappointment.
5.Want to stop doing that thing you tried to quit a million times before? Yeah... this module is for you!
Here, we learn how to deal with challenges in our practice, we'll work with our problematic mindsets, and work on learning to let go of our limitations and self-sabotaging beliefs so that we can truly become our best self. We'll talk about why letting go actually means taking action, and we'll explore how a mindful mindset can help us eliminate our destructive habits.
6.Making mindfulness YOURS - break the rules and get into your zone
In the last module we'll talk about how to bring what you've learned in this course with you into the rest of your life. We'll create habits for observing and creating tiny moments of bliss, we'll explore mindfulness tips for making a great day even better, and we'll build a daily mindfulness routine tailored to your specific needs - ultimately leaving you with a blueprint for your customized mindful lifestyle - more than just a sitting meditation - something you can do anytime, anyplace, for as long or as little as you need.

Who am I?
My name is Djinji Jimenez and I am the creator of MeditateandWonder.com (previously The Truth Practice) and the teacher of this course! I'm a self-care and mindfulness coach and writer who is dedicated to helping you gain the courage and clarity you need to make your wildest dreams a reality. I'm SO passionate about this work because there was a time in my life when I didn't believe living with daily wonder and joy were possible and I never want anyone to believe that they're stuck feeling that way.
4 years ago, I'd just completed an MFA program in Writing and had dedicated 6 years of my life to the craft of language, storytelling, and teaching. I'd done everything everyone wanted me to do. Gone to college, gone to graduate school, pursued an upstanding career... I'd checked the boxes and yet I found myself completely unhappy.
As I pushed through my post-MFA job day after day, my body and soul found ways to let me know just how far away from my path I'd ended up. Panic attacks. Pain. Asthma. Memory issues. Deep sadness. Lack of focus. Worry. Exhaustion...
I felt like I had nothing to show for all of my hard work... except for frustration and road blocks. I had no idea how to figure out what I wanted for myself and no clue what path I should take to find any new options. I wasn't sure any new options existed.
But when I learned to quiet my mind, when I learned to look within, when I learned to live life in awareness, when I learned to truly practice self-love, when I studied and embraced mindfulness as a way of life...
It all changed.
I let go. I followed my intuition. I woke up appreciating every breath. And I figured out how to let myself off the hook. No more autopilot. No more settling. No more arguing for my limitations. No more pursuit of perfection. Just me. Just living. Finally passionate. Finally stress free.
And because of that new way of life I created an amazing vision and purpose for myself. I get to wake up everyday doing work that makes me excited and fulfilled, all because I learned to stop focusing so much on the accomplishments of the future and the judgments of other people.
Does this experience mean that I never experience struggle or frustration anymore? No! I'm still human. This process of discovery and mindfulness doesn't end... I encounter new situations that require me to practice awareness and challenge my ability to remain centered all the time. I'm always paying attention to life and the signs that pop up. And now, I know exactly what to do with the signs. It doesn't take me long at all to get back into the flow and joy of the present moment.
this process doesn't plague me anymore. It fuels me. I love it. And I gain so much passion, so much energy, so much freedom from being able to observe it without getting wrapped up in misery or overwhelm.
I've learned that nothing is ever wasted. I've learned that every moment brings an opportunity for meditation... for peace... for passion.

How quickly will I get results?
Mindfulness is a deeply personal journey, so your results will depend largely on how open you are when you begin the course, how committed you are to your practice, and your own personal inclinations toward self-love and compassion. There is no magic formula with mindfulness, but studies have shown that within 6-8 weeks mindfulness meditators have shown/felt may differences in their minds, bodies, and lives. How will I receive the course content?
The content will be delivered in 7 modules designed to help you learn more about the theme of that week, which will lead you into the daily mini guided meditation for that week. Each day there will be an opportunity for reflection with designated exploration questions in your workbook.
In the Facebook group, you will be able to interact with myself and the other 14 members of the program. We will have a weekly live coaching call for the entire group.
