How to Love Feeling Afraid When Chasing Your Dreams

Have you been wanting to try something new, take a risk, or pursue a big dream?

How long have you kept this dream a secret? Only thinking about it at night before you sleep… refusing to give your dream attention, refusing to commit to it because this wild dream can’t possibly come true, right?

Have you been wanting to create a bigger, more amazing, more authentic life for yourself? Have you been wanting to make changes, to do things differently, to switch up your habits and become the person you know you can be?

If you have… I know for sure you’ve encountered your fair share of fear. You’ve probably held back on making some powerful decisions in your life because you thought the situation might not work out. You felt like taking action might be a waste of time. You thought that you might embarrass yourself. You weren’t ready for people to know you tried something scary and failed. So you continue to play it safe. You don’t want to let go of what you have right now even though you know it isn’t what you truly want… 

Believe me, I know these excuses intimately. I’ve felt them all before. I actually felt some of them recently when I started a brand new endeavor… Meditate and Wonder’s official YouTube channel! Anytime we start something new, we don’t know what’s going to happen. We don’t know how we’re going to feel. We worry about what we might have to give up. We worry that our intuition is wrong. We doubt ourselves and we trust the voices of other people instead of our internal drive. We worry about what other people will think. We worry that we’re not good enough. That other people are better than us. We focus on what could go wrong instead of being excited about what could be great!

And we never actually turn our dreams into reality. We never let ourselves fully want anything because we’ve convinced ourselves these desires are unrealistic. 

So… how do we deal with these fears? Is it possible to learn to love these fears and worries? If is possible to use these feelings as fuel?
